CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS |
Sesame Seeds |
Sesame (Latin Sesamum indicum) is annual grass family sesame (Sesamum) or sesame (Pedaliaceae).
Sesame seeds add a nutty taste and a delicate, almost invisible, crunch to many Asian dishes.
They are also the main ingredients in tahini (sesame seed paste) and the wonderful Middle Eastern
sweet call halvah.
Sesame seeds are an excellent source of copper, a very good source of manganese, and a good source
of magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, molybdenum, and selenium.
The composition of sesame seed
Sesame seeds contain phytosterols, sesamin, sesamolin, vitamin E, fatty oil (60%), which is composed of
glycerides of oleic, linoleic, palmitic, stearic, arachidic and lignoceric acids (most of these acids is absolutely
necessary for normal functioning of the body).
